The great, second, Saskatoon conference, 2013

We have been lookingforward to this conference for so long, and now it is already over!

We had some great daysin Saskatoon, a very well organized conference, beautiful weather and many oldand also new friends participating.

Due to some flight connectionproblems, I was personally late for the memory evening, but everyone I spokewith told me they had a very good night, with stories from many people,remembering John in many ways.

Tim and Connie hadasked me to open the conference with a keynote session. Normally this wasJohns’ job. I was very honored about this and for the first time in many yearsI was a little nervous giving my speech. A talked a little faster and was readya little early. But people assured me the message was understood: Gentle teaching is a process of working, you are not ‘doing’ Gentle Teaching, but you are growing as a partner for the people you serve, if you are able to accept yourself, for better and for worse!

Many workshops were, asusual based on personal experiences, some science and many theories, and theywere very inspirational. For those of you who had to make difficult choiceson the conference, here is your chance!

We had a good andfruitful board meeting, and also a general assembly, where Simone from Hollandand Sylvia from Puerto Rico were elected to be members of the board. A warmwelcome to both of you!

The final session,presented in cooperation with Connie, showed that people are preparing for ournext conference in Greece, on Crete, and Angela showed a very inviting video.See it on the web page! Be there next year, we missed some of you this year!
